You will visit the many unique marine and terrestrial ecosystems of Cahuita National Park, including a live coral reef, in a glass bottom boat with a capacity for 8 persons, plus captain and guide. Includes: Fresh fruit snack, entrance fee to the Park, snorkelling equipment, bilingual guide, lunch, round trip transportation from your hotel, and the walk through the Park. Required gear: Cap or hat sunblock, insect repellent, tennis shoes or sandals, bathing suit and towel. The trail interpretation will done on 9 to 11 kilometers of trail in Cahuita National Park. Beginning in the center of Cahuita town, you will walk to the Park entrance at Playa Blanca and take the trail that goes to Puerto Vargas. You will walk through various beaches where you can swim whenever you feel to. Some common animals that can be seen on this trail are: two and three toed sloths, armadillos, white faced monkeys, squirrels, different types of crabs, Morpho and monarch butterflies, and Heliconius butterflies. Common birds are parrots, woodpeckers, king fishers, falcons, osprey, herons, marine birds, turkey and common vultures. The tour will end in Puerto Vargas where you will be picked up and returned to your hotel. Includes: Transportation to and from the hotel, a guide qualified to identify flora and fauna, entrance to Cahuita National Park, fruit and snack. In this tour we visit the Iguana Farm and medicinal plant garden at the Kekoldi Indian Reserve. We continue on to the Bribri Reserve through Suretka village, on the banks of the Telire River where local organic products are marketed ( plantains, bananas, cocoa, oranges, coconut, etc. ) After sharing with the local residents, we head to a beautiful waterfall where you can swim. Afterwards we will return to Suretka where we will enjoy a typical lunch before returning to the hotel. Includes: Transportation to and from the hotel, bilingual guide specialized in the Bribri culture as well as local flora and fauna, snack, entrance to the Reserve. We begin this exciting hike at 7:00 a.m. in the morning from Black Beach in Puerto Viejo. The tour starts through gardens and different interesting crops until reaching trails in the deepness of the exuberant caribbean rainforest. Your naturalist tour guide will be explaining to you about the natural history of the flora and fauna of the area. You are very likely to see different species of poison arrow frogs, monkeys and many tropical birds. At the end you will be reaching Puerto Viejo town. Bocas del Toro Islands are located right across the Costa Rican border in the Caribbean zone of Panama. This area is known for it´s great cultural and biological diversity, for the many islands and islets found there and for the great expanse of reef that sorrounds them. It is one of the few places in the world where you can snorkel almost every day of the year.
