This region encloses the Guanacaste province in the Northwest of the territory. In the majority of this region there is a dry tropical forest vegetation and it is the region where it rains the least in the Country. In this region you will find most of the beach resorts and beach communities of the Pacific Coast. This region includes the beaches in the Central Pacific Coast that are the closest from the Central Valley and San Jose City.
