Dear Julia

My family and I just got back to Israel after 12 days tour in Costa Rica.

We  would like to thank you for the  most interesting and fun tour you organized for us.

Although it is a challenge to organize a tour to a family with a wide spread of ages like us (9, 18,20 years old and parents) we conclude the tour as a big success and most satisfied to all family members.

Everything worked as a Swiss clock: transportations, timetables, tours and hotels and fitted perfectly with our expectations as forwarded by you.

We highly appreciate your attitude, during the tour, taking care to special requests and the warm and good interaction with you.

Your ability and effort to deliver the goods we forget directly to airport gate is impressive and most appreciated.  Special thanks also to Arthuro for his excellent attitude and service.

I will be more than happy to recommend you to everybody wish to visit Costa Rica.

With best and warm regards

Abiding thanks to you for organizing such a wonderful trip and experience. Am flying out the door but did not want another minute to pass without thanking you, Tatiana and wonderful Michael for such an unforgettable jorney for us all. You sweated all the details for the benefit of each of us; we had such fun, learned so much, became expert at Howler Monkey talk and got along so much better than other families. What a hoot! Thank you and your four amigos so much for everything you did for the rest of us. You are an expert herder of cats!

Hola Tatiana,

We have also been meaning to write to you since we returned from Costa Rica. We had a FABULOUS trip. I honestly don't know what we could suggest to improve it. Each destination on the trip (Arenal, Monte Verde and Manuel Antonio) was beautiful, exotic and different form the others; our accomodations worked out well; the food was delicious; the people were wonderful; and the wildlife was abundant and on full display. We had a big group with a wide range in ages (6 to 65), and the trip offered something for everyone. It was really hard to leave and return to our regular daily lives after 9 days in your beautiful country.

While there were too many highlights to mention and everyone seemed to have a different "favorite" place or adventure, we all agreed on one thing: Michael, our host/guide/driver/interpreter/naturalist, made the trip for us. He was extremely knowledgeable, had great recommendations for things to see and do, put us in contact with wonderful guides at Manuel Antonio and MonteVerde Cloud Forest Reserve, kept us on time, put up with our singing in the van, made us laugh and got along beautifully with everyone -- all while navigating winding, hair-raising roads. We weren't the easiest group in the world to coordinate, but he handled us perfectly. He was just such an important part of our trip -- we won't forget him! I hope you will let others at your company know what a great job he did and what a truly wonderful asset he is to your company.

Let me know if and when the sandals show up -- we'll be happy to pay for postage to have you mail them to us.

Thanks again for everything. It was a memorable trip for all of us. Give our best and many thanks to Michael and his family!

Regards,

Blake

Hi !!

Thank you sooo much for calling! I have been meaning to send you an email with some pictures from our trip. We got back from the honeymoon then immediately left for Tennessee for a friends wedding. Finally, things are getting back to normal.

I wanted to thank you for everything! Saint Germain tours were FABULOUS! We had the same driver the entire trip. He was the nicest man!

All hotels were great in their own way. They all knew it was our honeymoon too! The Peace Lodge was by far our favorite hotel. It is so unique! Next time you go back to Costa Rica you & your family has to stay here!! Tabacon was nice..but not great. The hot springs were wonderful though. We found the hotel a little boring. Plus it was too cloudy to see any action at the Arenal volcano.

Hotel Parador was gorgeous. Such a big, lush, nice property. And just as you promised soooo much wildlife. We ventured into Manuel Antonio and Quepos almost every day. The room issue was resolved so quickly, so thank you sooo much for taking care of it so fast for us. We checked in, went to dinner and ½ way through dinner they let us know of our room change and moved our bags. Thank you soo much!!

Here are some pictures from our trip…enjoy!!!!

Thank you again for everything. I am soooo sorry I didn’t email/call you sooner. USA

Sylvia & Julia,

I just wanted to send you an email to let you know that everyone in our group was very happy with the recent trip to Costa Rica. Besides the birds, animals, friendliness of the people and the beauty of the country they enjoyed your staff. Our driver, Rigo, was especially helpful with those that had some difficulty with some of the climbing and was very patient and helpful. Our guide, Gilbert, was the best guide that I have ever worked with. He is very knowledgeable and has a passion for telling others about his beautiful country. Gilbert was always very helpful and willing to adapt to our groups special needs. Costa Rica offers so much for travelers to see and do and Gilbert made the whole experience even better.

thank you for a wonderful trip,

Sue,

Thank you for orchestrating our tour of Costa Rica. We truly enjoyed it!

Please pass along to Sylvia and her team our appreciation for the impeccable service provided by Saint Germain Tours. David, Freddy, Michael and especially Gilbert over-delivered on every expectation we had.

Gilbert’s knowledge of flora and fauna as well as his command of the English language was superb. We also appreciated his willingness to introduce us to the history and culture of Costa Rica and to answer our inquiries about current day Costa Rica.

The Hotel Gran Oro and the La Paz Lodge and Waterfall Gardens were wonderful experiences, again, exceeding our expectations.

Your input and management of our trip decisions is what put it all together. Again, thank you.

Hi Julia!

I've been so busy since I got home that I hadn't been able to write you until now. You know it is Spring break and their was a lot of problems and things to take care of. Our weather in the US has been causing a lot of problems with travel.

We had the most fantastic time! I'm in love with Costa Rica. Sylvia really planned a wonderful trip for us. It was so much but every new stop was more and more fantastic! The hotels were so wonderful. I loved the Parador and the Arenal Kiora. The Paradisus was, well a Paradisus!! It was a beautiful property but really, if someone wanted to see Costa Rica and only went to the Paradisus, they really haven't SEEN Costa Rica!!!! Michael was a wonderful driver. I couldn't believe all the driving he did, but I'm glad it was him and not me. He is very good at his job and a joy to talk to.

Julia, I cannot stop talking about our trip. I can't wait to go back and see and do more. I told Lili about the Fam you want to have and everyone is really excited. I am putting my pictures together and writing a fam log for everyone. I brought back a lot of pictures and brochures from all over. I really liked the Tamarindo Beach area. The hotel was ok but the beach was nice and we loved that town. We found the most wonderful restaurant there called the Lazy Wave.

Tel: 653-07-37 We met the French women chef that owns and runs it. It has wonderful food and the restaurant was really beautiful and quaint. You should go there sometime. The food was fabulous and one of the best we ate there.

Thanks again Julia for taking us out and treating us to that wonderful dinner! We enjoyed your company and meeting Sylvia.

Well, got to go and have a great Easter! Thanks again for the great trip.

Dear Sylvia and ABC Tours

We just wanna thank you so much for making our stay a wonderful experience. Costa Rica was an adventure, a beautiful country with very nice people and a lot to do. Especially our first driver from the Caribbean Dish to Puerto Viejo, David and the last driver from Tamarindo to San Jose, (dont remember the name..) was very nice, and drived very good.

Hotel Gran de Oro was fantastic, and the stuff very helpful!! And also Hotel Arenal Volcano Inn - I see on your website that the hotel is rated as a two stars on you comment....It should at least be three star, it was much better service and nice place than Tamarindo Diria.

Thanks again, and we will recommend all our friends to visit Costa Rica and use your company.

We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. Thank you for your help in organizing everything. We especially enjoyed our stay in Arenal. We highly recommend the ATV tour through La Pradera Hotel (www.lapraderadelarenal.com) We also enjoyed the skytrek zipline and the waterfall repelling through puretrek (www.puretrekcostarica.com). We were so busy in Arenal that we wished we had stayed there longer. We didn't even get to go to the hot springs there.

The excursion to Manuel Antonio was very nice and we recommend getting a local park guide at the park entrance as they are well worth it (wouldn't have been
able to find all the animals without them and the monocular lens that they have).

Freddy Fernandez our driver was wonderful. He even helped us with our laundry in the middle of the trip!

The carribean side was kind of hot and more mosquitos but we really enjoyed seeing the wild life there. We unfortunately couldn't go snorkeling at Cahuita due to the rough surf at that time (Hurricaine passed near there). We will recommend you all to our friends who want to go to Costa Rica too!

Dear Julia,

Our family had an incredible time in Costa Rica. Freddie was a wonderful driver and was very accommodating. All of our accommodations were excellent (Los Suenos, Arenal Kioro, and San Jose Marriott). The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy a range of activities. We took the crocodile/mangrove cruise down the river, enjoyed the hike and beach at Manuel Antonio (Freddie helped us find an excellent guide), raced all-terrain vehicles to La Fortuna falls, went rappeling down waterfalls with Puretrek, zipped across the rain forest canopy with Sky Trek, toured the La Paz waterfall gardens, and appreciated the wonderful hospitality of all our Costa Rican hosts and guides.

We were quite impressed when we learned more about Costa Rica (high literacy rates, no military, emphasis on health and education, Nobel Peace Prize winning President, ecoconservation efforts, etc). We have spoken highly of our visit and have told many friends to go to Costa Rica for their next vacation. We will definitely return for another trip in the future.

Thank you for all your help in making this a most memorable trip.

Julia,

This is the first moment that I have had to write to you.
We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. Everything was really terrific and my whole family thanks you very much.
Ernesto was fantastic. He was an amazing driver, he was always on time, and he could not have been more helpful the entire week.
He was also one of the nicest men that I have ever met. You should feel very lucky to have him on your team.
Every hotel was great. The only problem we encountered was the fact that we had little or no hot water at the Peace Lodge.
It was very strange and very disappointing because it rained the entire time we were there and we were cold and tired and could not even take a hot shower or jacuzzi. I did get an email from the owners telling me how sorry they were but please let your clients know that there is a real possibility of having little or no hot water at the Peace Lodge. They are trying to fix the problem but it is going to take a while.

We hope to return to Costa Rica in the near future. I will send all my friends to you and your company for their travel arrangements.

Thanks for everything it was wonderful.

Good Morning Enrique!

Thank you so much for everything you did to make our tour to Costa Rica a huge success! All of the evaluations were excellent and everyone loved Pablo, our guide. One of the ladies wrote, “Pablo excelled in all areas. We can’t say enough about his knowledge of plants, animals, customs, etc. He has wonderful people skills and made it a fun learning experience. He represents his country well and makes us want to come to Costa Rica again and invite friends to also visit this beautiful country.” Pablo did an extraordinary job of sharing information with us, keeping to the schedule and adding stops where available and where time allowed. He assisted with making sure our luggage arrived quickly to the rooms, make certain everyone was doing okay (and we had 2 81-year old ladies with the group), helped select a terrific restaurant when we had a choice and was extremely helpful to everyone. His people skills are outstanding, His positive and quick personality, and his ability to share interesting knowledge, make him a tremendous asset for Saint Germain! You could not have given us a better guide! He is truly an excellent professional guide!

The group enjoyed the itinerary and each person indicated a different attraction for their most enjoyable place to visit. The motor coach and driver were very good. We felt safe with both of them. The group enjoyed the typical meals and are probably having “gallo pinto” withdrawal. The group was disappointed that they couldn’t see either Poas or Arenal but I will make copies of photos I took last year and send those to them. That’s something “Mother Nature” controls and they all realized that.

Everything went very well while in Costa Rica; however, our flight from Dallas to St. Louis was delayed due to earlier weather conditions so we didn’t get back to our cars in St. Louis until after 2 a.m. I drove home from there so I didn’t get home until 5 a.m. That was a long day since I can’t sleep on a plane or at the airport.

Thank you so much for a wonderful tour. I will look forward to returning with teachers next summer. We are marketing those tours throughout our state and hope we have enough bookings to make them run.

Please let me know if you need additional information regarding the tour. Again, I appreciate everything you did to make it a wonderful experience!

Hi Julia,

Trip was fantastic! We had a lovely time. I'd forgotten how bad the roads were to Monteverde- made for a great adventure. Also loved the transportation adventure from Palmar Sur to the hotel!

Sapo Dorado was a lovely place- very friendly and helpful staff and they sent out us out with knowledgable guides. Loved the tours there! Food was fantastic too.

We adored Gaia- SO beautiful. Manuel Antonio was really touristy and we got stuck with some very "ugly" american groups.. No one's fault- just the timing. We enjoyed our time in the park as well as our time just laying low at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly there- probably the best service we had for the entire trip. We went to El Avion resturant too- food was nice and the view was pretty!

Aguila de Osa was a beatiful place... It almost felt like summer camp though, in that you had to eat with large groups of people, "family style" for all meals. Would have been nice to eat alone at dinner, but it was fine. Not the best diving, as you'd mentioned visibility-wise, but we still saw many sharks, rays, and tropical fish. Corcovado park was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside of our room and watching all the birds every afternoon - a definite highlight for me on the trip!

Our guide in San Jose took us to a wonderful restaurant with the most beautiful view of the city.

Overall, was an amazing trip and thank you so much for all of your research and assistance. I'll be sure to send more business your way!

Thanks again,

Our driver, Alex, who took us to Monteverde, stopped and showed us two sloths up in a tree. He was so kind, friendly and helpful!

Miakel was our driver for three days and he was fantastic! He drove us from Monteverde to Playa Hermosa then to Quepos and then to our final destination in San Jose. He was a kind, friendly and wonderful person! He was so helpful, giving us information, and he stopped to show us the crocodiles and showed us many birds as we drove along. He was a wealth of information. He gave us a quick tour of Jaco, arranged Damas Island and Manuel Antonio tours and made sure we were all well taken care of and safe. He helped us in so many ways and took such good care of us and our daughters! Will you let me know if there is a way to get a note of thanks to Miakel or else please forward this to him so he knows how much we appreciate all he did for us. Miakel was an extra special driver! Please let his boss know!

Please tell whoever is incharge how impressed we were with the service and our whole experience through ABC Tours. We should have booked our whole trip through you instead of doing it on our own but I didn't know that you could be so flexible. I know you didnt invent Costa Rica itself - but you certainly know how to show it off to its very best!!! Your help in choosing some of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and location of parks (even though the 1st one closes on Mondays - when we were there?) was exceptional, the only trouble is i didn't see the Quetzal, and shall have to come back another time.

We had the best trip ever, Alexi was a perfect driver, goodness knows how on those roads! We all felt very safe with him. The bus was immaculate, and he knew just when we needed a beer stop!

As for (we found out very quickly) that well known and loved all over Cost Rica - Carlos - what can you say...... he was a mine of interesting information, a great character and very profesional in his duties. He made the trip fascinating, exciting, and truly memorable. Thank you very much both of you.

All i can say is Thank you to all your staff and we hope to see Costa Rica again in the future.

I would like to let you know that I was extremely happy and satisfied with my little trip in your beautiful country. Our driver/guide Michael was very helpful, I am just sorry that we did not have the chance to go Salsa Dancing.
All of your tour suppliers were very professionals.
Everybody asking about my trip and they are getting very interested in Costa Rica by looking at my photos , etc. I will definitely give them your contacts, and I will contact you again, when I have the chance to organize another visit, this time a longer one.

Thank you again,

Beatrix - ( Australia )

Dear Enrique -

I recently enjoyed one of your tours in Costa Rica with Paul and Adriana Fervoy and their family. I wanted to express my gratitude and praise for your company and the staff members of our tour.

You were extremely accomodating to me as I had several changes to my itinerary and I thank you for that. Furthermore, I thought the services and accomodations arranged by you and ABC Tours were perfect.

I also wanted to thank you for sending excellent guides and drivers. Our first guide Fabian was very helpful, intelligent, well-mannered and very funny. I enjoyed his tours very much.

Our second guide, Carlos Aceyut is someone whom I would recommend highly. He was extremely accomodating, well-informed about many aspects of Costa Rica, and helped the group make good choices including where to eat and shop. I enjoyed his company and would hope to tour with him again. The driver he was working with was also very helpful and professional.

I would highly recommend ABC Tours and these tour guides and drivers. They all made for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Costa Rica!

Sincerely, Michael Lee   USA

Enrique,

What a marvelous trip you put together for us with the Fervoy wedding party! One experience was more memorable than the next & the arrangements/accommodations so skillfully put together for us enhanced a most memorable introduction to your beautiful country. We so appreciated the drivers & guides you selected for our experience.

I do have one suggestion. For the lengthy grueling trip from Playa Hermosa - Guanacaste to San Jose, I would strongly recommend the private transportation ($130). We opted for the private shuttle bus ($58). We traveled on a Sun. afternoon/night & I realize weekend traffic & soccer fans returning to the city, added to the length of this trip (6 hours plus). However the bus & the driver were problematic. The driver did not secure the luggage piled to the ceiling at the back of the bus, & before we were out of the complex, several pieces of luggage hit John on the head. The bus was lacking in shocks & had no curtains to keep out the sun & heat. Opting for the more expense transport would have been the better way to travel.

To say the very least, it was a beautifully planned and executed trip. Should we or others we know ever travel your way again we would overwhelmingly use your very professional services.

Hi, Julia!
Thank you so much for all your help in arranging this one-of-a-kind, customised tour on the basis of your Pura Vida 2 itinerary!

We had the greatest time of our lives!

We had never seen such echo-giographic diversity in 10 days! Our 9-y.o. son
is extatic. He brought some pictures to show to his classmates. He is a very popular guy now!
I lost my voice the first day after vacation, describing our trip to coworkers ( because they asked
to ) over and over all day long!

The rescheduling of our departure from Tabacon from 7:30a.m. to 2p.m., which, I think, Tatiana took care of, made the major part of our trip, because, the entire prior day we had at Arenal, we spent on Hanging Bridges tour and Horseback riding to La Fortuna Waterfall, so we did not see Tabacon Hot Springs under daylight until the day of our departure. What a paradise it was! I think, it is worth to stay there for a few more hours the morning of transfer to Manuel Antonio!!!

The fact, that we added one day to our itinerary to see Poas Volcano, kept us looking forward to our last day of the trip, which felt so-o-o cool!
( People usually do not look forward to the last day of their vacation,
right? ) It was another highlight of the itinerary.

Our vacation went smoother then flowless! It was PERFECT! Two weeks later, I am not completely back to the reality, thinking of beautiful country, which you brought closer to us, it's magnificent nature and kind and intelligent people! Not being able to speak Spanish was not a problem at all! Patience and willing to help - is another great feature of Ticos.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

We have been meaning to send you a note since we returned home. Thank you so much for all of your help with our travel plans in Costa Rica. We had a wonderful time. The destinations were all fun and the hotels were very nice. We loved the hot springs and really enjoyed the boat ride across Lake Arenal as well as the canopy tour we did. Carlos, Jose and the other drivers and guides all did a great job. I'm sure we will come back for another visit. Now if you can just fix the road to Monteverde before we return that would be helpful. :o)

my apologies for not writing sooner, but upon returning to new york, i unfortunately came down with the flu and bronchitis... i think i need to get back to costa rica soon!

anyway, i just wanted to thank you so very much again and let you know that valerie and i had the most incredible trip. it was so much more than we expected and it honestly got better every day. it's hard to pick favorites, from playing with monkeys in manuel antonio to having two 6 foot iguanas jump out of a tree and land right next to us in tortuguero to floating in the tabacon hot springs and everything in between, things could not have been more perfect.

i would like to write more, but this cough has got the best of me. plan on hearing from us again for another trip, and for sure, you will be hearing from some of our friends, since we have not stopped talking about the trip and raving about your services.

thank you, thank you, thank you... pura vida!

Dear Enrique and Julia,

We returned few weeks ago and still under the great impression of our incredible trip to Costa Rica.

We wanted to thank you for your contribution in making the trip so incredible - everything was organized perfectly.

The plan of the trip, which was designed by you was excellent - we felt that we had the perfect time for each location: enough to see all what we wanted, resting but yet there was noting too much...

We liked all your recommendations - the hotels: starting with the nice and quiet Hotel Alta (and it's fine cuisine), The Peace Lodge - that was the jowl of the crown, the most unique and pampering hotel that we ever stayed in, Mawamba Lodge, which a bit simple in it's conditions and probably requires some improvement, but offered an excellent starting point to the fascinating water safari trips, El Establo, which offered comfortable accommodation with magnificent view and last but not least Hotel Parador, which was very enjoyable.
Also your other recommendations regarding the activities, as the Canopy, were excellent.

A big thank you we owe you for appointing Michel to be our driver and guide. It was a pleasure to be guided by Michel, who has an excellent English, wide knowledge and such a pleasant personality. He was great in giving us the right advises, recommending the activities and arranging the local guides and was wonderful with the children. We all like Michel very much and wish him success in his work for you.

Thank you again for everything and please be assured that your reputation will be known among our friends.
You can find enclosed few pictures, which can demonstrate how much we enjoyed with Saint Germain Tours.

Dear Julia,

sorry if I hadn't written you before, but you can imagine that when I came back, I had been very busy at work.
I'm very sorry toothet we couldn't meed, but I understand which kind of problems you had to face at work.

Any way I would like to thank you, because our trip was simply perfect and most of all, your organization was perfect: the transfer were always on time, the hotels were all very nice and comfortable (I can't say you which one I preferred: I loved all of them!)

The excursions and activities were exactely as we expected and sometimes better than we imagined (the best activity was without doubt the canopy tour, while the best place for animals and landscape was Tortuguero).
The only thing we could't enjoy (and obviously not because of you) was the walkway in selvatura: It was raining and we didn't see any bird or other animal (this probably also because we didn't have a guide: I noticed that when you are in the forest, if there is no one who indicates you the animals, you can be surronded by them and you don't see them at all!) Anyway, I'll contact you every time I have to organize a trip to Costa Rica for one of my clients (even if, actually, Costa Rica is almost unknown as destination in Italy).

In any case, I hope to contact you again If you need more comments, please let me know Best regards Valentina

Dear Julia:
I wanted to thank you so much for the excellent job you and your company did on organizing everything for my recent visit to your beautiful country. As promised all my vouchers were awaiting me at my first hotel ( the Country Inn and Suites), all the drivers showed up at their appointed times, and the hotels we stayed in were wonderful. We arranged through you the Hotel Parador in Manuel Antonio, the Tabacon Lodge in La Fortuna, and the Mawamba Lodge in Tortuguero.

My wife and I found the Hotel Parador and the beach at Manuel Antonio to be one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to. The Tabacon Hot Springs is a very special and unique setting, and we loved the remoteness and beauty of Tortuguero and all that nature has to offer.
Again, a special thank you for your efforts. We will not hesitate to use your services when we return to your country, and we have referred friends to you already.

Costa Rica and Saint Germain Tours!

Our family just returned from a 9 day trip to Costa Rica. We had a marvelous time and I was extremely pleased with all aspects of the help and service that we received from Enrique and his staff at St. Germain Tours. Enrique is extremely knowledgable and he was very helpful in planning our trip. He advised me on the best places to go and to stay. One place that we wanted to stay was not available. Enrique suggested an alternative, Selva Bananito, which turned out to be our favorite for the entire trip. Of all the great places that we visited (Tortuguero, Poas, Arenal, Monteverde, San Jose) this one was the most in harmony with nature. We were driven from place to place in a very new and nice Toyota van with air conditioning when we wanted it. The driver Alvarro, was extremely capable and nice and he spoke enough English to communicate well. Enrique and his assistant Yacky are completely fluent in English. His suggestion of using their driving services is a very good one. When you leave the main roads you will have long drives on some rough roads. Also there are very few road signs. It is much better to use a driver and look out the window at the beautiful scenery.

So I highly recommend St. Germain because of their knowledge, responsiveness, honesty, and quality of service. I also spoke with other larger and better known agencies. These were not very flexible, they pushed you toward certain hotels, and they charged about 20-30% more.

Subject: What a vacation

Julia,

I am writing to you concerning my recent trip to costa rica through germain tours. My step father, Richard Barlett, arranged all the plans with you (I am sure you are very familiar with the name). I wanted you to know what a great time my husband and I had in costa rica. I enjoyed everything your company set up for us. We hit all the big travel spots and got to hit some that were a bit more secluded. Thank you for accommadating such a large group of people that have different activity levels and interest.

I have to say what truly made a trip wonderful is our tour guide, Sebastian. I have traveled alot in my life and I have never met such a genuinely nice tour guy who really cares about his job. Although to Sebastian it didn't seem like just a job, he really seems to love what he does. I also have to mention Jose, our fearless bus driver, for all that he put up with and barely knew the english language (tolerating 16 loud americans over 4-6 hour drives). what really makes sebastian and jose different from other tour guides that I have experienced is that they truly care for their guests. My husband get pretty ill on the trip and one night after a 7 hour drive to manual antonio I decided he definitely needed to seek medical attention and go to the hospital. We were all prepared to get a taxi, but sebastian and jose insisted that they take us to the hospital and stay with us. I can't even tell you how much that meant to us. Sebastian stayed by our side and translated for us. When we didn't find the hospital satisfactory, sebastian then at 2am suggested going to a private medical clinic where we found an excellent physician who did help my husband. I couldn't thank both jose and sebastian enough for being so caring and going above the call of duty. I knew they were both exhausted from the long trip, but they stayed with us. My husband and I are so grateful to them both. He was able to enjoy the rest of the trip then.

I really can't say enough about Sebastian except that he is a wonderful tour guide and a great friend at this point. I will recommend your company to all of my friends and coworkers. I hope you know what an assett Sebastian is to your company! Thank you again for the wonderful trip.

God Bless,

Sorry about only answering your mail today, we just got back from Miami, USA.

Thanks to him everything was resolved. And Miguel got us to the airport early...
We enjoyed Costa Rica very much.
About the Hotels: they were all great! Restaurants were all 5*****.
Only 1 suggestions: on a trip like this where so much time is spent in the car maybe a good idea to have a cold box to carry drinks.
We weren't lucky at the Sarapiqui river. The Caño Negro river is better.
To bad that not many Portuguese turists go to Costa Rica; but we will strongly recommend "Saint-Germain Tours" to them.
Sending you a picture of our group.

Julia-

I just had to let you know how happy we were with the trip, everything was excellent. You put together a terrific tour and needless to say your country is beautiful. I would be amiss if I did not say something about Jose and Sebastian, you could have not picked to more perfect people for our group. We kind of adopted both of them into the family we enjoyed every minute with them. I can not express how happy we were with both of them. They bent over backwards to make sure our trip was an enjoyable one and they went above and beyond what I would ever have expected from a tour guide and driver. As Chief of Police in the USA I know how important it is to surround yourself with good people and you surely have done that with Sebastian and Jose. With them as employees your company is sure to grow and prosper and I wish you and them all the best. With that said let me add one more thing, I am so thankful you allowed Sebastian to stay with us at Manual Antonio. As it worked out I am thankful they were there. My son-in-law had to go to the hospital there on Thursday night and Jose and Sebatian took him and my daughter and stayed with them until 2:00 AM. I do not know what we would have done without them because Sebastian was able to translate for my daughter and son-in-law to the doctor, something we would not have been able to do without him. That is something you do not expect from a tour company and you can surely be proud and thankful for both these gentlemen. And this is after Jose spent five hours driving. You are so fortuante to have such dedicated people. Then the next day my nephew had the unhappy experience of having his wallet stolen and Sebastian was right there trying to help. I am so glad and I want to thank you for allowing Sebastian to stay with us for the last two days because we would have been lost without him. One other thing, my other son-in-law had his 30th birthday Friday and Sebastian helped us find a birthday cake and celebrate his birthday. Words just fail to explain how we feel about Sebastian and Jose. I know I am repeating myself but you cannot go wrong with people like that working for you.
Now on a more serious side, can I offer a suggestion, if you ever use the Rain Forest Lodge again make sure the tour group is aware of the following:
(1) There is no electricity after 9:00 PM.
(2) For those females who do not like bugs this place may not be for them. But the way I looked at it if you are in the rainforest you should expect insects.
(3) No hot water.

There were just a few in our group (females) that were real apprehensive about this lodge and did not get much sleep. As for me this area was beautiful and full of interesting sights and I loved it there as well as most of our group. The stay here and at Mawamba Lodge gave me a true insight into Costa Rican life.

As for me I enjoyed every part of the trip and I want to thank you again for all your work in putting together such a good tour. May God Bless you.

Thank you

Richard Barlett

Hello Julia!

It's been 2 weeks since I got back from Costa Rica and I just wanted to say it was all wonderful! I've already highly recommended the country and the package as well. Thanks!
Definitely need more than 9 days though. I think because of the travel time involved somewhere like Arenal or Tortuguero needs an extra night/ day to even enjoy all the activities and facilities. Next time!
I wanted to know if there is anyway you can give me the email address of the family that was traveling the same week as us, but without the reversal of the schedule. We met with them at Monteverde and San Jose. They were California, 2 children and 6 adults. The husband's first name is Scott, I believe. They had a driver named Freddy. Anyway, lovely family who asked for my work email so as to send me some digital attachments, but perhaps they lost my address, and I never got theirs. Do you think you can provide that info to me, I'd really aprreciate it.
thanks again and I hope to return to beautiful Costa rica!

The accommodations you booked were very nice and we had a marvelous time driving around on our own in the 4X4 Hyndai Galloper that you rented for us, In San Jose, we enjoyed staying downtown in the Amon Plaza Hotel, where it was an easy walk to the Central market and very close to the”El Pueblo” area where we had dinner two nights in a row each night in a different restaurant. We recommend “El Pueblo” to any of your travelers because there is shopping, food and nightlife all in one walking area and we felt safe with the security that they provided. The Amon Plaza had a nice restaurant as well with a nice patio area where we enjoyed breakfast in the morning and drinks at night.

Initially we were sad that we weren’t able to do the two day white water rafting trip since we booked so late, but the Expedition Tropicales that you substituted was a fun and interesting tour and we were able to see and do quite a lot in one day. The Rio Tropicales River Rafting was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation. The Pacure River was provided both exciting rafting and beautiful scenery and they were very helpful dropping us off at our rental car place afterwards.

It rained and was very windy almost all of the time we were in Arenal and Monteverde but, we ventured out in the rain and considered it part of the adventure. We also enjoyed soaking in the hot springs, even though we never were able to see the volcano. In Monteverde we rode horses to the San Luis falls, walked on the sky canopy bridges, zip-lined through the cloud forest and enjoyed our guided tours in the cloud forest reserve. We enjoyed riding the horses but would choose a different excursion because too much of the ride was on the road, though we do recommend highly a trip to the San Luis falls.

In Manuel Antonio we enjoyed the hiking tour of it’s reserve and saw many animals with the aid of the guide and his spotting scope none of which we would have ever been able to see on our own. We also went jet skiing and were able to see a family of hump back whales as well as go snorkeling. The New Year’s Eve party at the Parador Hotel was first rate with a fun band and lots of fireworks at midnight.

All of the hotels were very good about helping us to book last minute tours, but one we found on our own was the Tropical Bungee jumping off a bridge outside San Jose. We jumped off a 285 foot bridge the morning before we were scheduled to fly home that afternoon which put a nice exclamation point on the whole trip.

It was without a doubt a vacation of a lifetime and we owe it all to you. There is no way we would have been able to arrange this vacation on our own, especially on such short notice and we are very grateful that you were able to do it for us.

Thanks again,

Sincerely,
Greg and Karrie Taylor   USA

Dear Julia
Thank you very much for arranging such a great trip for us. Everything went smoothly; we liked all the hotels, especially the first one and Montana Monteverde. Especial thanks to our driver Gerry who was very accomodating and even though he did not speak any english we understood each other perfectly well. I intend to recommend your agency to anybody who is planning a trip to your beautiful country; and hopefully we also will return sometime soon.
Thank you again.

Sincerely yours.

Hi Julia,

On behalf of Christopher Blaisdell and myself, I want to thank you so much for handling our travel arrangement during our Costa Rica visit. Our trip was wonderful and we thank you for handling everything for us in such a great way.
When we come visit again, we will most certainly book our reservations through you.

Again, thank you for everything - your organization is great.

Hi Enrique,

We are back home and cannot stop thinking about our fantastic vacation adventure in Costa Rica. We talk about it every day. We want to thank you again for the arrangements you made for our trip. Our accomodations were fantastic. The nature lodges you booked for us allowed us to see so much of Costa Rican wildlife while being treated to wonderful Costa Rican hospitality. We saw everything we had hoped to see and more. We watched monkeys, parrots, scarlet macaws and toucans. We saw crocodiles, caymans, red eyed tree frogs and green sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs. It was truly incredible.

We also again want to thank our driver Freddie for taking us all over Costa Rica and showing us so much. And also for helping us with our Spanish. The tour van was very comfortable and driving hundreds of miles of roads never bothered my back. We even saved a little money compared to renting a car and could just relax and enjoy the scenery.

We hope to return to Costa Rica and we will definitely contact you to make all of our arrangements.

Best Regards,
Marisa, Denise and Gordon Weiss

Hi Julia!

My family and I had a WONDERFUL time in Costa Rica! It was one of the BEST trips I've ever been on. I was very satisfied with the arrangements you made for us. Thank you for your hard work.

The drivers were on time and friendly. We had good conversations with Fernando.

All of the hotels were nice. And the breakfasts that were included were delicious.

The Sesteo was clean, but seemed scary because when we arrived at 10:30pm, it was all gated and locked up with a security guard. It just through me off because we were in a residential area. If I could do it over again, I would have preferred to stay closer to the airport since we got in so late.

Marissa and I loved the rafting trip. However, I think the 2 day-one night trip would have been adequate, instead of the 3 day trip. The Aventuras web site is a little misleading when it described the possible activities for the 2nd day. It made it seem like there were hikes that would take up a lot of time. However, we did the hikes in a short amount of time and didn't have anything to do on the 2nd day. Plus, the canopy course was being re-routed, so there were only 3 platforms, which was disappointing since they advertise 8 or 9 I think.

We took a side trip to La Paz Falls and Poas Volcano before heading to Manuel Antonio, which we really enjoyed. Then we got lost for 2 hours trying to find our way from Alajuela to the highway to Manuel Antonio. The signs are hard to follow. But we really liked the rental car!

The hotel staff in Manuel Antonio were very helpful and friendly.

We did the canopy tour in Selvatura Park in Monteverde and had a great time. There were 14 platforms.

Tortuguero was AMAZING! We had the BEST guide, Rebecca. We saw the 2 turtles lay eggs and the next day we saw 79 baby turtles make their way to the sea. It was fantastic! Mawamba Lodge had great food. However, I wasn't quite prepared for the cabin setting with just the electric fan. It was pretty hot.

Amon Plaza was a really nice hotel. My parents had a great time in the casino.

And I really liked that I could reach you or Enrique by phone if I needed you. That's important because I felt safe and I felt that you could help if something went wrong. (We had a bad experience in Spain last summer when we got pickpocketed and had to go to the police. It was hard because we couldn't communicate well with them.)

We really did enjoy everything! My friends and other family members are now curious and excited to visit Costa Rica as well and want me to be their tour guide/escort. So maybe next summer you'll be hearing from me. I really want them to see the turtles. That was the best part of the trip for me.

Muchas Gracias por todos! Let me know if you need more information.

Take Care!

I would like to tell about our experience with your tour service (Aug 21-22). We had a wonderful time, our driver Victor, did an excellent job of suggesting places that we might visit and telling us about Costa Rica, its culture and people.. He really made the vacation special for my son and myself. We would like to use your service again when we return to Costa Rica. Thankyou.

A big part of the success of the tour was our wonderful guide, Guido. He was tremendously knowledgable, very helpful, very concerned about the comfort and needs of all 38 of us and just plain fun to be with.

I'm forwarding a copy of this to Eskin Tours as well.

Sincerely, Dr. Mark and Cathy Daniel   USA

Dear Julia,

Amazing! Amazing country and if the experience has been so perfect it is largely thanks to you and St Germain. Thank you for preparing this exceptional visit to your very beautiful country with a standard of professionalism and quality that should inspire other tour operators.

Best wishes for your continued success,

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Costa Rica for the first time. Hats off to Enrique Balsevicius, our tour guide, who showed us the many wonders of this beautiful country. Enrique’s vast knowledge of Costa Rica’s history, wildlife and vegetation, together with his warm personality, made our trip a most memorable one. Many thanks to Julia, who made all the wonderful arrangements for our excursions and comfortable lodgings. Three cheers to Ruben, our bus driver, whose experienced driving skills successfully got us to our destinations each day through all sorts of road and weather challenges. Our appreciation to Freddie, who drove us from San Jose to and from the El Diria Hotel in Tamarind Beach on the Pacific side. Each day there brought sunny skies, a beautiful sandy beach to walk on; a lovely room overlooking exotic gardens surrounding a beautifully sculptured, scenic pool to swim in. The two weeks in total were most enjoyable!

Dear Julia,

My apologies, I meant to well before this send you a most sincere thank you for your aid in arranging our trip. It was much more than we expected. Your country is just wonderful.

We were away this week in Philadelphia, meant to get back to you earlier. We will certainly recommend you to our friends, and if we get back next year will most certainly contact you. It's late here now, expecting snow for morning.

Everything went smoothly, hotels very good, and drivers were terrific. When I get a chance will comment on places we visited and places we stayed.

Again thanks for everything,

Fondly, Raye & Bob Cooke

Hi Julia!

We've been meaning to write to you before...but we have been busy 'shovelling snow'. Attached are some pictures of snow for you. The first week back after Costa Rica, Nova Scotia recieved the largest snowfall ever of 95cm!! No kidding... Boy! Were we ever sad to be back after the wonderful honeymoon we had!

We want to thank you and your company again for an excellent trip and memorable experience. This trip is all that we can talk about to our friends and family. Like mentioned before, we will definately recommend you to anyone. Also, if you want to ask us about any accomodation --- please feel free to ask. Poas rent a car was great and staff were extremely friendly. The only bad thing for us was going through Toronto on the way home. We almost missed our connection to Nova Scotia because that airport is so disorganized. We left our duty free liquor on one of the carts...(more upset about loosing a bottle of the Costa Rican drink Guaro....) Oh well...we are safe and sound and had a great time!

Attached is a picture of Fauna at Playa Grande (Las Tortugas -- one of our favorite places!) and some pictures of snow from our storm for you. (the 'bump' is our car covered in snow)

Take care and thank you again.

Hi Becky,

We had a fabulous time during our trip in Costa Rica!

Everything you planned for us worked out well and went smoothly. Freddie, our driver, was delightful and your advice to have a driver was a god-send. It would have been stressful and difficult without Freddie! All the hotels, Tabacon and the Canopy Tour were wonderful. Thank you for all your attention to details. I had to call the office for help confirming our departure flights and they were very warm and helpful also. They knew who we were and gave us full attention. I will gladly recommend YOU and St Germain Tours to all my friends who are now very interested in Costa Rica!

Thanks from all of us!
